I don't think you ever need to think about pads and soundscapes again. You sir, are set for atmospheres and pads having absynth, alchemy and reaktor (you have Onishpere too?!!). Sorry, I was actually answering the OP about the difference between the two, I didn't see your question. Looking for more pads and atmospheric stuff, more along the lines of Omnisphere and Absynth.

So you don't get much different, it depends on the type of music you make.Īlthough I love alchemy so far, I'm inclined to say the the current deal on sylenth1 is hard to pass up. One is great for it's simplicity and speed at getting good synth patches quick, and one is good for it's crazy amount of modulations and synthesis types. nd the price right now is better then you'd even get it used (Not that anyone would sell it).Īlchemy does ok VA stuff too but really excels in pads, atmospheres experimental keys and all that interesting granular and additive stuff. EVERYTHING can be had if you're into being a thief. I just think its a shame, but don't buy all the crap/rumors about pirating. Excellent drive knob on that filter though. He got my money, I used it for a while, and now its not an option for me anymore unless I go back and use Logic 9, with what I lose alone in that process is not worth it at all. I'm done talking about it, and just don't really care whether it ever comes out or not.

Yet Sylenth is some mysterious code that simply is so difficult to make available on 64-bit. I just find it funny that even free-ware developers like Blue-Cat, TAL, etc.manage to put out 64-bit in no time and without issue. If not, then close up shop, which maybe is what has happened. If you can make a profit in this partly unfair market then great. Everyone is operating in the same system and dealing with the same issues. Some people are going to pay for it, and some people are not.

If you are in the software business, of any kind, this is the reality of it. I just don't feel sorry for this chap and don't know why anyone would. Are we saying that all software is equally as crackable? I don't think thats the case. MOST software does not require a dongle, yet we only seem to hear about poor Lennar Digital, and how it ruined Sylenth1 and his will to support his product.

Yes, how dare the developer make such good software, everyone wants to steal! From now on, developers should only make crappy software that nobody wants!I don't think the only reason it is so cracked is due to it being good. Any developer that would recommend bridging as opposed to just getting his head out of the ground and updating his software, is not someone I'm looking to spend money on again, ever! How much is it? Its expensive, about $150 right? Just sitting on my hard drive doing nothing for over a year now.īridging sucks and causes problems with system performance that are unacceptable to me.
Had I known at the time that it would not be supported and updated, I would have skipped it. It was the first 3rd part software I ever bought. There are just too many other options out there that sound too good, and have so many filter options, more envelopes, more LFO's, MSEGs, and the list goes on. It is pirated a lot, who is at fault for that? The developer! Why does Lennar get a pass? Is the code so special that it requires extra care? Everyone else got their shit together ASAP. Just making it 64-bit? That's it? All this time for that? How come no one else has this problem?.when Logic X came out, there was A LOT of stuff not 64-bit AU at the time. Its just been too long, people have moved on, I know I've forgotten about it and don't miss it when comparing to Diva/Zebra/Spire, and several others.
I agree, at this point, anything short of Sylenth 2 and I don't care. Its too bad, because it is still a really nice sounding VA.
